Mr Andreas Kontos BSc(hons), MBChB(hons), FRCOphth(London), CCT(UK) - Ophthalmic and vitreoretinal surgeon. Andreas is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and obtained his Medicine and surgery degree from the University of Manchester, UK with Distinction (Graduated top of the class) (2005)

Andreas also has a First class honours degree in Neuroscience funded by a prestigious scholarship from the Wolfson foundation. Graduated top of the class and awarded the Denis Leigh prize (2002) along with Ophthalmology specialist training at Moorfields Eye Hospital/North Thames rotation, London. (2008-2014)

Fellowship in Vitreoretinal surgery at St Thomas’ Hospital, London (2014-2015) and Senior Fellowship in Vitreoretinal surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London (2015-2016)

He has an active research interest with publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and participation in clinical trials and is a reviewer for high-calibre ophthalmic journals and has special interests in Retina, Macular disease, Diabetes, Vitreoretinal surgery and cataract surgery
